hBN is made by sintering boron nitride powder/flakes into a solid material by hot pressing. It has low wettability to molten metal. 

The BN99 Boron Nitride Disc we offer works well in an inert gas stream at 3500°C, but long-term ambient temperatures should be kept below 2200°C according to high-temperature survival tests. As a result, boron nitride has a wide range of applications in PVD coatings, high-temperature furnace systems, and semiconductor materials manufacturing.

Due to the limit of hot pressed boron nitride raw material, please note that our BN Disc has limits on dimensions.

Packing

As a ceramic material, boron nitride is quite fragile in a lot of cases. Our Hot-Pressed Boron Nitride Discs are carefully handled to minimize damage during storage and transportation. Suitable outer boxes and inner cushioning materials are used for BN products, vacuum packing is also engaged for some of the parts.
