Cerium Boride (CeB6) Ceramics
Cerium boride, also known as cerium hexaboride or CeB6, is a refractory ceramic material. The main application of cerium hexaboride is a hot cathode coating or hot cathode made of cerium hexaboride crystal. It usually works at a temperature of 1450°C.
 
Cerium hexaboride, like lanthanum hexaboride, evaporates slowly during cathode operation. CeB6 positive electrode under 1850 K working condition, CeB6 should maintain the optimal shape for a longer time, so the service life is longer. Although the process is 30% slower than lanthanum boride, cerium boride deposits are reported to be more difficult to remove.
