We have been purchasing Yb from another supplier. The Yb from this supplier often has many internal inclusions and defects. When the Yb is rolled into sheets, it cracks and blisters around these inclusions.
Some portions of the ingot are relatively free of defects and the metal can be used as intended.

A colleague who sources large amounts of Cr for our larger operations is curious how you all make the Cr parts you send to Daniel and me if you are able to disclose. I mentioned the high quality of the material you send and he wanted me to ask you as he’s had difficulty procuring high quality Cr material from other sources.

First off, I’d like to say that when ordering very specialized items internationally, we have nearly always encountered a multitude of problems. Miscommunication, overpromising, delays, substandard final product, etc. In the end, we have to fabricate product ourselves in a multitude of scientific areas. This is to say that it is expected that a variety of speed bumps will arise in the completion of an order.
What was not expected, was the way that you handled the order.
Your verve and professionalism to counter issues and keep us informed was commensurate with some of the best business practices I have been privileged to witness.
