Molybdenum plate is widely used in electronics, lighting, vacuum coating, medical equipment, semi-conductor glass fiber and electrode, heater, and heater shielding in vacuum resistance furnaces.

Edgetech Industries LLC (ETI) provides Molybdenum plates by both forging and rolling. The forging plates are always with large thicknesses, a thicker plate is also called a block, round molybdenum plate is also named a disc or circle. Molybdenum rolling product with thickness <4mm is named as sheets. Edgetech can supply Molybdenum plates from 0.157” Thk up to 3” Thk.  For thinner material, ETI can supply sheet, strip, and foil as thin as 0.001” Thk.

In terms of its mechanical properties, molybdenum is a very hard and strong material that has a high tensile strength and good ductility. It is also known for its high thermal conductivity, making it an ideal material for use in high-temperature applications. Moly has a low thermal expansion coefficient, which allows it to maintain its strength and stability even at high temperatures. Additionally, molybdenum has a high elastic modulus, which means it can resist deformation under stress.
