Molybdenum-rhenium alloy is formed by adding different contents of rhenium element to molybdenum. Both molybdenum and rhenium are refractory metals. Through the combination of two elements, molybdenum-rhenium alloy has both the high-temperature physical properties of rhenium and the good mechanical properties of molybdenum, resulting in excellent performance. Its rolling deformation can reach 90%. By adding 47.5% or 41% rhenium to molybdenum to form a molybdenum-rhenium alloy (nominal composition 50% Mo + 50% Re), its ductility, weldability, and formability are greatly improved. Molybdenum-rhenium alloys maintain good ductility even at high temperatures. Molybdenum-rhenium alloys are widely used in the electronics, nuclear, and aerospace industries.
