Niobium Parts Process Technology

-Due to the ductility of niobium materials, cold forging, rolling, punching, stretching, spinning, extrusion, bending and other processes can be carried out.

-Heat treatment should be operated in a vacuum or a protected environment.

-The heat treatment process should be carried out under vacuum at a temperature below 1100-1200°C. The holding time is determined by the amount and thickness of the material. Niobium foil cannot be stacked during recrystallization annealing.

-Surface treatment: Usually a shutter wheel is used to remove surface defects such as peeling and scratches, and then a non-woven sandpaper is used to mechanically polish the surface scratches to make the surface uniform.

-Cutting and grinding performance: To reduce adhesion, extrusion, and surface roughness during cutting, the coolant should be used.

-Common welding methods include tungsten inert gas welding, laser welding, electron beam welding, diffusion welding, and brazing.
