Niobium sheets are easily deformable even at temperatures below room temperature. Whether punching, cutting, deep drawing or pressing, our niobium sheet can be easily processed to meet your specific requirements. They have excellent properties such as high melting point, high strength, high electrical conductivity, high superconductivity and high corrosion resistance.

Niobium is not as corrosion resistant as tantalum at high temperatures. Niobium will not be attacked by nitric acid up to 100°C, but it will be attacked by a mixture of nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid. Hot concentrated hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid will attack it, but hot concentrated nitric acid will not. Niobium is not affected by most acids at room temperature. It will be attacked to some extent by alkaline solutions at any temperature. Due to its low capture cross section for thermal neutrons, niobium has applications in the nuclear industry. Niobium can be electrically heated and anodized to a variety of colors, making it very attractive in the jewelry industry.
