Edgetech Supplies powder metallurgy and electron beam processed tantalum strips. Powder metallurgy grade tantalum is ideal for deep drawing and stamping applications. It ensures that the drawn parts have a smooth surface, free of cracks and pits. The isotropic nature of the strips helps avoid unstable tank height or “earring” problems. When ordering this tantalum tape, please specify “Powder Grade” or order per ASTM B708, R05400. For shallower drawn or stamped parts, “electron beam grade” tantalum tape would be ideal. This type of tantalum strip is rolled from ingots and slabs that are melted and purified in an electron beam furnace. When ordering this material, please refer to ASTM B708, R05200.

For high temperature applications, such as furnace hardware, Edgetech offers grain-stabilized tantalum trip. The product is engineered to significantly extend product life by slowing grain growth at high temperatures.
