Titanium is a robust metallic with low density which is pretty ductile (in particular in an oxygen-loose environment), lustrous, and metallic-white in color. Another very important feature is the corrosion resistance of titanium. Based on those properties, Titanium and Titanium alloys are widely used in aerospace, military, medical, jewelry, telecommunications, and other industries.

It can be alloyed with iron, aluminum, vanadium, and molybdenum, among other elements, to produce strong, lightweight alloys. Titanium and Ti alloys can be used in aerospace (jet engines, missiles, and spacecraft), military, industrial processes (chemicals and petro-chemicals, desalination plants, pulp, and paper), automotive, agri-food, medical prostheses, orthopedic implants, dental and endodontic instruments, sporting goods, jewelry, mobile phones, and other applications.

Ti-27Nb (Titanium/Niobium: 73/27 wt%)
